American Yellow Warbler
One of the most widely distributed birds across North America, American yellow warblers are small songbirds with medium-long bright yellow tails and rounded heads. What is this? Their bright and sweet song can be often heard near streamside willows and woodland edges across the United States.
Gray coloured birds are found in most families of bird species, including gnatcatchers, thrushes, vireos, chickadees, nuthatches and so on.
* Finches have shorter legs than sparrows, and their legs are often dark gray; sparrows have longer legs, which are often pale pinkish. * Finches are plainer, less patterned; sparrows have more varied and intricate patterns.
Juveniles and female goldfinches are less colorful. In winter, males have a dark bill and dull yellow body feathers. One other way to tell the difference between a yellow warbler vs a goldfinch is that goldfinches have white patches under their tails.
Adult males are rosy red around the face and upper breast, with streaky brown back, belly and tail. In flight, the red rump is conspicuous. Adult females aren’t red; they are plain grayish-brown with thick, blurry streaks and an indistinctly marked face.

Basic Description. A bird almost universally considered “cute” thanks to its oversized round head, tiny body, and curiosity about everything, including humans. The chickadee’s black cap and bib; white cheeks; gray back, wings, and tail; and whitish underside with buffy sides are distinctive.
This bird is different from a Goldfinch because they’re slightly smaller, measuring 3-4″ inches in length while Goldfinches measure 4-5″ inches in length, and they also have brown streaking on their chest and back instead of solid yellow like a Goldfinch.
American Goldfinches are slightly larger than Pine Siskins. Although they can show yellowish tones in winter, they never have the bold streaking on the breast and back that is a hallmark of the Pine Siskin.
The goldfinches are symbolic of joy, enthusiasm, positivity, and persistence. In Christianity, these birds have a strong symbolism and are considered to be sacred. In the ancient Egyptian culture, they’re personified as the souls of dead human beings.
The yellow-headed blackbird isn’t rare but a common bird in many parts of North American during the breeding season, including much of Canada, the western, midwestern, and southwestern portions of the United States. The yellow-headed blackbird isn’t commonly found along the eastern part of the United States, however.
